Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

We only collect the information needed to run Job The Interview:

• Account data: your email address, name and login details.
• Profile data you enter: current and desired job titles, experience, skills, locations, work preferences, salary expectations and work authorization.
• CV files you upload and the information extracted from them.
• Job postings you add or save, match reports, application tracker entries and notes.
• Mock interview questions, your answers, scores and reports, and messages sent to the AI assistant.
• Subscription and usage data: your plan, renewal date and monthly usage counts.
• Technical data: device and browser information, and cookies or similar storage (see section 7).

We do not store your card details. Payments are processed directly by Stripe.

2. How we use your data

• To provide the service: analysing your CV, matching you with jobs, running mock interviews and generating reports (performance of our contract with you).
• To manage subscriptions, billing and plan limits (contract and legal obligations).
• To send in-app reminders about applications, deadlines and practice plans (contract).
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
• To measure our advertising with Google Ads, only if you accept cookies (consent).

3. AI processing

To generate analyses, questions and feedback, the relevant parts of your CV, profile, job postings and answers are sent to third-party AI model providers. They process this data only to return a result to us. The AI output is based only on the information you provide and is not used to make legal or similarly significant decisions about you.

4. Who we share data with

We never sell your data or share it with employers or other users. We only share data with service providers that help us run the app:

• Our hosting and database provider, which stores your account and app data.
• AI model providers, which process content to generate results.
• Stripe, for payments and subscriptions.
• Google (Google Ads), for advertising measurement, only with your consent.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long we keep data

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except for records we must keep by law (for example, billing records).

6. Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Have your data deleted.
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time, for example for cookies, without affecting earlier processing.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your settings. These are always active because the app cannot work without them.

With your consent, we also load Google Ads tags, which set cookies to measure whether our ads lead to sign-ups and purchases. You can accept or reject these when you first visit, and change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer.

8. Security

Your data is only accessible to your account. CV files are stored privately and accessed only through short-lived links. No method of storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

9. Children

Job The Interview is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will let you know in the app or by email.
